In line with my weekly NFL picks, I thought I’d throw in my college football picks as well. As a side note, I expect to put out my Heisman predictions and New Year’s 6 Bowls this week. Given the late start of the SEC and the wild rides of the Big 10 and Pac 12, I didn’t want to be hasty with putting out those predictions
#11 Oklahoma State (-23.5) over Tulsa
For the first time in 2020, we get to see the fearsome threesome of Spencer Sanders, Chuba Hubbard, and Tylan Wallace. 45-20 Oklahoma State
#19 Louisiana-Lafayette (-16.5) over Georgia State
Coming off a big win over Iowa State, Louisiana can’t sleep on this trip to Atlanta. 27-20 Louisiana-Lafayette
Syracuse over #25 Pittsburgh (-20.5)
Upset! Syracuse QB Tommy DeVito was neutralized in Chapel Hill, but he’ll bounce back with a big performance against #25 Pitt. 34-30 Syracuse.
Tulane (-5.5) over Navy
Navy should improve over the season, but they looked so awful against BYU. 27-19 Tulane
Duke (-4) over Boston College
They didn’t steal a victory from South Bend, but there were definitely positives from Duke’s opener against Notre Dame. 31-20 Duke
#7 Notre Dame (-23.5) over South Florida
The Fighting Irish let Duke hang in deep into the game last week, I don’t think the same will be said for USF. 38-15 Notre Dame
#13 Central Florida (-7.5) over Georgia Tech
Georgia Tech is feeling good after leaving Tallahassee with a victory, but this UCF offense is much more functional than that of FSU. 35-20 Central Florida
#23 Appalachian State (-5.5) over Marshall
Marshall blew out Eastern Kentucky, while App State rallied late to comfortably beat Charlotte. I like ULL better than App State in the Sun Belt, but I have App sneaking out with a victory here. 26-23 Appalachian State
Wake Forrest over North Carolina State (-1)
NC State couldn’t score to save their lives in the ACC last season, and while I expect improvement, I’m taking former star of Netflix’s QB1 Sam Hartman and the Demon Deacons. 20-17 Wake Forrest
The clear-cut game of the week, D’Eriq King looks to give Miami a statement win at Louisville. This one should be a shootout, and while I think D’Eriq King will have a phenomenal game, Louisville is my 2020 CFB darling. Malik Cunningham (formerly Micale), Javian Hawkins, Tutu Atwell, and Dez Fitzpatrick form an elite offense. 48-45 Louisville
If you’ve made it this far, thanks for reading! Do you agree or disagree with my picks? Who should be on upset watch? Will Chuba Hubbard run wild to begin his Heisman campaign? Louisville or Miami? Let me know in the comments down below!
