The Followers' NBA Finals

It has been a while since the poll went out, but a while back I put up a poll on my instagram (@tgojer) asking my followers to give me predictions for various sports. I began by analyzing their picks for the Final Four, and now we move on to the NBA. I myself am not a big NBA guy, so instead of sounding like an idiot and giving my take on a subject I'm ill-educated on, we'll simply simulate the matchups on WhatIfSports.com.

Now that the explanation is out of the way, let's look at the matchup my followers have chosen. In a total landslide, and aligning with my opinion, the followers have pinned the Los Angeles Lakers against the Milwaukee Bucks in the NBA Finals.

How WhatIfSports.com sees the matchup going:

Game One: Giannis put up 30 points and 16 rebounds and the Bucks also got 19 from Khris Middleton, but double-double's from LeBron and AD led the Lakers to a 105-96 victory.

Game Two: Despite Antentokounmpo and Middleton having even better performances than game one, they failed to get much help elsewhere on offense and couldn't contain LeBron. LBJ finished with 29 points, 10 rebounds, and a whopping 17 assists as the Lakers took game two 121-109.

Game Three: The Bucks led at halftime by double digits at half, but LeBron led a big comeback en route to a big win for LA. 107-94.

Game Four: With their backs against the wall, Milwaukee found a way to stifle the Los Angeles offense as LBJ and AD shot a combined 15/45. The Greek Freak and co. stay alive thanks to the 109-90 win.

Game Five: LeBron James dazzled in game 5, falling just one rebound short of a triple-double, but thanks to a big second half from Eric Bledsoe, the Bucks hold on 108-104.

Game Six: The small sliver of hope for Milwaukee is absolutely shattered as the Bucks are held to only 76 points with Giannis shooting a dreadful 9/30 from the field. "The King" caps off his magical series with another triple-double as the Lakers return to the top of the basketball world.
